As we closed out the year, our Red-Carpet Girl® mentees experienced a truly unforgettable moment—an enriching cultural outing to see Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical. This special experience was more than a night at the theatre; it was an opportunity for our girls to witness storytelling, artistry, confidence, and discipline brought to life on a world-class stage.

We are deeply grateful to Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis, District 6, for her generous support in making this experience possible. Because of leaders like Commissioner Orbis, our girls are exposed to environments that expand their worldview, elevate their expectations, and reinforce the belief that they belong in spaces of excellence.

As we step into a new year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead for the young ladies enrolled in the Red-Carpet Girl® Program—a signature initiative of Avenues of Excellence. Each new year brings fresh opportunities for learning, leadership development, and personal growth—but it also brings responsibility.

A new year, after all, is still simply time moving forward. If nothing changes, then nothing changes.

That is why, at the start of every year, the Avenues of Excellence / Red Carpet Girl® team takes a purposeful pause to reflect, assess, and refine. We review our programs, evaluate outcomes, and conduct internal assessments to ensure that we remain aligned with our mission, values, and long-term goals. This intentional process allows us to strengthen what works, improve where needed, and ensure we are delivering the highest quality programming and services to the girls and families we serve.

Our commitment is not just to do more—but to do better.
